一、基本情况我县地处宁夏东南边缘,全县共有1区2镇13乡,96个行政村,616个自然村,13万人口.由于自然条件、历史及其他原因,盐池县经济和文化教育落后.建国时,全县有初级小学14所,在校学生482人.到1978年,适龄儿童入学率仍徘徊在80%左右.党的十一届三中全会以后,我县普及初等教育事业都有了很大的发展.到目前为止,全县有各级各类小学504所,其中完全小学129所(含民办五年制小学25所),在校小学生23499人,学龄儿童入学率达98.9%,巩固率达99.5%,合格率达89%,普及率达96.2%.“四率”均达到或超过了国家规定的标准.
