Reviewed the process of recognizing the earthquake risk in Oregon and discussed the development of the earthquake relief work in Oregon. The Cascadia, which has been validated over the past decade, has been used to reduce the threat of a massive earthquake and two more dangerous but alarming earthquakes - the 1993 Scotts Mills M5.6 earthquake and the Klamathof The Morse M5.9 and M6.0 earthquakes have confirmed the reality of the seismic hazard in Oregon. Although Oregon reports cyclical earthquakes dating back 150 years, advanced seismic monitoring has only been available in recent decades, and most of the seismic hazard assessments and disaster mitigation efforts are in the past The remarkable increase in public awareness that was done in 10 years was also during that period. Most federal, state and local government agencies and civil society organizations support earthquake relief efforts and made important contributions. Without these developments, Oregon will remain unprepared. Many structures and lifeline systems, such as buildings, bridges and water systems, need to be reinforced, and land-use planning needs improvement. This paper reviews the state of the earthquakes in Oregon, the legislation on earthquakes, the investigation of the danger of earthquakes on the site, and the organization that is enthusiastic about earthquakes.
