In 1881, Kim Heong-sik, leader of the DPRK's King Lee Station, dispatched nearly 100 North Korean students (students) to China to study military manufacturing technology, English and basic science at the Tianjin Machinery Bureau. In the recent year, Tianjin has trained a number of modern military science and technology personnel for North Korea. In order to accept North Korean officials and students, Tianjin Machinery Bureau has dedicated North Korea Pavilion. This little-known historical fact shows that at a time when the two countries were surging, their awareness of western culture and their fears about the future and destiny of their respective countries have become an unforgettable page in the history of the relations between China and the DPRK.
