根据过去研究的结果,铈在矿物中大多成三价的状态而存在。虽然在某些矿物中(如钍铈矿)发现有四价铈,有时甚至于以四价铈为主要组分(如方铈石cerianite)但象这样的矿物为数是不多的。在研究我国产的易解石和新发现的震旦矿时,测出其中的铈主要成四价的狀态。以后又檢查了挪威产的一种易解石,同样发現有四价铈存在。因而使我們想到,矿物中四价铈的存在可能是比較普遍的,并不象过去所了解的那样少。在矿物中,铈与铁往往共生。假如铈成四价的狀态与亞鉄同时存在于矿物中时,过去是沒有办法来测定它們的含量的。因为当矿物以酸溶解时,即发生氧
Based on the results of past studies, cerium exists mostly in the trivalent state of minerals. Although tetravalent cerium is found in some minerals, such as cerium-thorium ore, sometimes even with tetravalent cerium as the main component (such as cerianite), the number of such minerals is small. In the study of China’s production of calcite and newly discovered Aurora, the measured one of the main state of cerium into four.
