From the beginning, colonoscopy is considered to be a very accurate method of checking the colon. After careful colonoscopy, the endoscope doctor often thinks that the colon of the patient is well known. In fact, this is not always the case. The examination is accurate, but it is not without omissions. Cancer and polyps can also be missed. Any endoscope doctor may miss certain polyps during the first colonoscopy of the patient. These polyps may be found during surgery or repeated colonoscopy. This article compares preoperative colonoscopy findings with pathological specimens to study how many tumors and polyps have been missed by endoscopic surgeons.
