In the early days of the Red Army’s entry into Tibet, due to the reactionary propaganda of the Kuomintang and the imperfect national policy of the Chinese Communist Party, the Tibetans, especially the upper-class Tibetans, had been in a tense relationship with the Red Army. During the latter period of entry into Tibet, the Red Army absorbed the previous experience and, under the guidance of the anti-Japanese and anti-Chiang Kai-shek national united front, vigorously carried out the work of national united front and won the support of upper-class Tibetans and Tibetans, thus providing a guarantee for smooth northward advancement. The different experiences of the Red Army in the early and late Tibetan areas fully illustrated the significance of the correct ethnic policy in triumphing over the Long March of the Red Army.
