甜菜的主要经济性状(产量、含糖率等)均为数量性状,是受微效多基因控制的。到目前为止,在甜菜数量性状的测定方法上,已应用的有配合力测定、遗传力测定、相关分析、通径分析,适应性分析也在近期已有报导。作物品种的推广范围与环境条件有着密切的关系,也就是说,作物品种的使用价值主要是由基因型和环境条件的互作效应来决定的。利用遗传型适应性稳定性这一分析方法,能解决数量性状在不同环境条件下的适应能力如何,为品种的推广和应用提供理论根据。
