在美国,各州和地区都有自己一整套独特的阅读教学计划,语文教师也都按照自己的阅读教学方法,进行着丰富多彩的教学实践。但是,通过认真考察,还是能够看出具有美国特点的阅读教学的一般特征的。本文只就美国中学阅读教学的几项内容略加介绍。一、阅读教学的地位美国的中学非常重视学生阅读能力的培养,在听说读写四项基本训练中,阅读占据着最重要的地位。在美国始于十九世纪六十年代的“写作危机”(Writing Crisis)从一个侧面说明了这一问题。美国的中学阅读教学要占整个语文教学时数的三分之二还要强。二、阅读教学的功能
