秘书工作对秘书思维心理品质的要求是较高的。例如一些企业家们在描绘自己心目中的秘书形象时,几乎都认为秘书“应该是企业现代化管理的智囊人物”,“我们的秘书也应该成为企业的‘师爷’,能经常为厂长出主意、想办法。”但现实的情况是,我们的秘书人员常常不能满足企业家的这种要求。据调查和分析,现有的秘书不少人缺乏做调查研究、信访工作或组织会议的能力。有的秘书在撰文中多次返工,领导不满意,秘书本人也苦恼。以常州地区为例,有的单位,秘书缺额,甚至有的单位,秘书是空白。一些单位的领导由此竟产生了“主任易配,秘书难选”的感叹。这些情况说明,一些秘书的思维心理品质与秘书工作的要求之间存在着差距。因此,要想胜任秘书工作,就必须通过各种努力,缩小这种差距。
