According to Japan’s food safety management philosophy, food safety management relies on the participation of the whole society, sharing responsibility, coordinating management, and emphasizing self-discipline and integrity. All food safety stakeholders have been given the responsibility. First of all, Japan requires that national food safety risk analysis agencies and regulatory agencies conduct risk analysis, formulate food safety laws and regulations and annual monitoring and guidance programs, monitor or punish imported food products, organize information exchange and popularize food safety knowledge.
