Reading the European novels of the late 19th and early 20th centuries left in the memory of Western literary history, there is always a sick aesthetic. It was suddenly a breath of tuberculosis until I read the “metaphor of disease” of American writer Susan Sontag. The metaphor of disease explores the aesthetic perception of tuberculosis in the history of Western literature and even in the history of disease.
