Bronchial artery angiography and embolization is an effective method of treatment of massive hemoptysis. From 1994 to 2000, 37 cases of hemoptysis were treated with bronchial artery embolization in our hospital. Gelatin sponge and polyethylene foam alcohol (PVA) were used as embolization agents.
