According to the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, total exports of goods in Hong Kong from January to September 2000 amounted to 1,153.2 billion Hong Kong dollars, up 18.1% over the same period of last year. Imported goods amounted to 1,212.4 billion Hong Kong dollars, up 20.9% over the same period of last year. From January to September 2000, the total value of re-exports of goods in Hong Kong was 10170 billion Hong Kong dollars, up 19.5% over the same period of last year. Among them, the re-exports of textiles amounted to HK $ 71.325 billion, an increase of 8.4 billion Hong Kong dollars or 13.4% over the same period of last year; Hong Kong dollar, an increase of 6.1 billion Hong Kong dollars over the previous year, an increase of 8.3%.
