  Peng Xuejun, the children’s literature author delightedly received Japanese edition Unceasing Tweedle of Japan Bungeisha (Literature and Art Press) at the end of 2012. It writes in the waist cover of this Japanese edition book “Translation of Peng Xuejun’s Long Fantasy Novel! Peng Xuejun—children’s literature author who shoulders next generation and is the editor of the 21st Century Publishing House, who agitates the new century whirlwind of Chinese children’s literature”.
  Unceasing Tweedle is one of Peng Xuejun’s former works, which tells the story of a child who died unfortunately at an early age, but was summoned to review the unforgettable familly affection by his sister’s tweedle. The Chinese edition was published by The 21st Century Publishing House in 1998, and was classified as the first Chinese novel of Fantasy Literature by The 21st Century Publishing House .Peng Xuejun told the writer that the chance for this book to step out is very accidental. It was published in Japan 15 years after the publishing of the Chinese edition because it moved a Japanese translator. The Japanese translator is Ieno Shirou who once read one of her short imaginary novels——Brother in the Elevator, then read all of her works and finally decided to translate her long imaginary novel——Unceasing Tweedle.
  Which makes the author Peng Xuejun greatly distressed is the fact that the old translator Ieno Shirou who she had only written letters to but never met died in his home in Okayama. Born in 1923, Ieno Shirou once received an education in Shanghai at his early age. He was a member of The Sino-Japanese Friendly Association and was also a member of Chinese Children Literature Research Group. He has made great contributions to the friendship between Chinese people and Japanese and to the introduction of Chinese children literature. The imaginary short novel——Brother in the Elevator which made the old translator shed tears unconsciously was attached to the Japanese edition. He said in the postscript: “I must let the Japanese people who also love dogs read this moving story.”
  The creation and publishing of fantasy children literature was once in vogue. And the representative writers are Peng Yi, Cao Wenxuan and so on. But the doubt that fantasy literature is “rootless” always exists in China. Wei Gangqiang, the deputy editor-in-chief of The 21st Century Publishing House, thinks that fantasy literature should conquer readers by the charm of literature instead of the form of fantasy. He also said that in Peng Xuejun’s works, there was no magic, wizard or vampire, neither any Chinese element, but it can find support from children’s real inner world and complete their fantasy dreams .That is the main reason why this book can move Japanese translator and readers.
