公民教育就是为民主社会培养合格公民的教育。初中《历史与社会》课以公民教育的需要作为建构课程的基点,对于培养现代公民应具有的人文素质和社会责任感有非常重要的作用。历史与社会教学要想培养公民意识、提升公民素养,发挥公民教育重要渠道的作用,就需要我们进一步转变教育教学观念、营造民主公平的教育环境、丰富教学策略教学方式、立足乡土联系社会实际,唯如此公民教育才能达到潜移默化润物细无声的境界。
Civic education is to educate qualified citizens in a democratic society.
