我省威宁县中水区,自1973年一名患儿死亡,经尸检证实为克山病后,至1982年4月止,又陆续发现三名儿童罹患克山病。为进一步弄清该地区克山病的发病情况,为今后我省克山病的防治工作打下基础,我们于1983年9月在中水区进行了一次调查。一.中水区自然概况中水区地处威宁县之西北角,位于北纬27°09′～27°27′,东经103°42′～104°01′之间,与云南省昭通地区接壤,并突入其境内。
