In 1978, the Kodak Company in the United States published several articles on dry-chip blood analysis in succession and performed this new analytical method and testing system at the American Association of Clinical Chemistry Conference held in July 1978 in San Francisco. Introduced its latest progress. The new method uses a clinical chemistry slide. All of the reagents needed to complete the assay are contained in these dry slides. During the assay, a drop of 10 μl of undiluted serum is applied to the slide and incubated for several minutes at 37 ° C. The inside of the slide completes the chromogenic reaction to measure the depth of color on a reflective spectrophotometer. A microcomputer converts these data into appropriate concentration units and prints out the assay results. In this way, the assay will not require liquid reagents.
