China has entered a stage of rapid urbanization. Urban agglomerations are an important carrier of urbanization in our country in the future. Studying the spatial characteristics and internal differentiation of urban land expansion with urban agglomeration as the unit is the key to improving urbanization quality and achieving coordinated and sustainable urban agglomeration development. Taking the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration as the research object, based on the spatial effect perspective, this paper uses four remote sensing image interpretation data and urban expansion related indexes in 1990, 2000, 2005 and 2010, and makes comprehensive use of exploratory spatial data analysis and spatial measurement Economic method, the spatial pattern of urban land expansion, regional differentiation and convergence of space clubs during 1990-2010 in the study area are analyzed. The results show that: 1) Urban land in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration has been expanding rapidly; newly-added urban land uses spheres and axes to expand around cities and expressways; 2) Urban land expansion within urban agglomerations has obvious spatial concentration and The results showed that there was a significant spatial club convergence in urban expansion in LL and LH regions, while in HH region, although there was convergence in the HH region, there was a significant spatial autocorrelation. But the result is not significant, HL area does not converge. These findings provide scientific references for further studying the dynamic mechanism of urban expansion in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, promoting rational urban expansion and planning related to the integration of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
