我国首家以篆刻艺术研究和创作为核心的院体机构——中国篆刻艺术院于2006年6月16日在中国艺术研究院成立。中国艺术研究院院长王文章,文化部教育科技司司长韩永进、人事司司长高树勋,中国艺术研究院副院长张庆善、高显丽．院长助理贾磊磊,以及来自全国各地的篆刻艺术团体、个人和相关单位的人士出席了成立典礼。我国的西冷印社、日本的谦慎书道会、日本书道会、西日本协会、韩国美术文化院、韩国《月刊书艺》杂志社等艺术机构、专业刊物以及相关的社会团体和个人发来贺信及贺电。
