Subtext theory pays close attention to a long time neglected text auxiliary information, holds that the subtext is an extension and supplement of the main text, forms an intertextual relationship with the main text, and constructs a complete work together. The subtext in the transliteration of ethnic classics can dynamically adjust the relationship and distance between the translated version and the reader, influence readers’ reading and acceptance of the text, and promote the interaction and blending between author, publisher, translator and reader. The subtext plays an important role in the “effective” output of the transliteration of nationality classics and deserves a high degree of attention.
