中国是糖尿病大国,其患者约占总人口10%,位居全球之首。糖尿病是由于胰岛素分泌过低或受损,使葡萄糖无法进入细胞内从而导致蓄积在血液中并随尿液排出。在胰腺中,α细胞和β细胞主要负责人体内血液葡萄糖高低的控制,α细胞约占胰岛细胞的24%~40%,β细胞约占胰岛细胞的60%~80%。当体内葡萄糖下降时,α细胞会促进储存的葡萄糖释放,提高人体的胰高血糖素;在体内葡萄糖上升时,β细胞承担释放
