The final rigorous testing of new and repaired railcar air brakes is now computerized. Therefore, rigorous testing is more reliable and more stable. The new Accurack system provides a direct indication of the deviation of the AB valve from one lane to the next when tested in accordance with the rules of the American National Railroad Assembly Inspection Code. And all of this can be done by deftly adapting the multi-stage airbrake test stands seen in many vehicle factories. The front of these test stands was accompanied by a simple console with control buttons, an eight-line digital display and a continuous tape for recording each test procedure.
