(Continued) 2. Waisted drum (Waisted drum), Membrane musical instruments. Zambian people use a thin waist drum called Inshingili, which is designed for use by local royal musicians. It is a double-sided skin with two handles on the slender waist of the drum and two strings attached to it. When playing, hang the drum on your shoulder or neck and play the drumhead with your palm (Figure 127). 3. Drum (Likuti and M’petheni), membrane music instruments. Likuti and Petheni in Mozambique are cylindrical drums and sitting pier drums, respectively. The former is double sided drum, the latter is single sided drum. play
