In the 19th century, modern China emerged one after another of two different types of the ideals of the Great Pax-Tong. One was agricultural socialism represented by Hong Xiuquan’s Tian Tian Tian Mu system. It was based on the absolute average peasant economy. One was based on Kang Youwei The “great book” as the representative of industrial socialism, built on the highly developed productive forces. Both Datong ideals have similarities in inheriting ancient Datong, the criticism of feudal system and the pursuit of equality thoughts. At the same time, due to their different political orientation and origin of Western thought, The vision for the future is obviously different.
