我们于1976年开始进行低温处理玉米种子的试验,1977年多点示范,去年种植面积达400多亩。在这三年中,1976年是低温早霜年,1977年全年气温正常,1978年积温偏高。试验结果表明,不论是什么样的年份,经过低温处理的,都有早熟和增产的作用;越是低温年份,增产越显著(表1);中晚熟品种较早熟品种增产显著(表2)。一、早熟高产的原因(一)经过低温处理的种子,在萌动过程中受到了一定的低温锻炼,从而增强了抗寒能力,在地温达到5℃左右时即可播种,没经过低温处理的种子需要
