我国古代有几本法医学名著叫做《洗冤集录》、《平冤录》、《无冤录》等,顾名思义,是指应用医学知识协助办案,达到公平裁判,使沉冤得以昭雪,使罪犯得以伏法。日本过去称法医学为裁判医学或诉讼医学,欧美称为Gerichtliche Medizin,Legal Medlcine,Forensic Medicine(直译为法律医学或法庭医学),也是一样的意思。为什么司法审判需要医学的协助呢?下面列举一些古代的案例便很可说明。早在我国五代后晋期间(公元936~946年)和凝父子编著的《疑狱集》中有一篇叫《李公验榉》,
