Objective: To investigate the efficiency and safety of the sequential combined application of natural killer (NK), γδT,and cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells in patients with HCC after radiofrequency ablation (RFA), and overcome the multiple limitations of inducing immune responses in patients. Methods: Sixty-two HCC patients who underwent radical RFA were divided into two groups: RFA (32 patients) and RFA/CIT(30 patients).Autologous mononuclear cells were collected from the peripheral blood and separated by apheresis. These cells were then induced into NK, γδT, and CIK cells. These cells were identified by flow cytometry with their specific antibodies and then infused intravenously into RFA/CIT patients for 3 or6 courses. The tumor recurrent statuses of these patients were evaluated with computed tomography or magnetic resonanceimaging every 3 months after RFA.Progression-free survival(PFS), overall survival (OS), liver function, viral load, and adverse effects were evaluated.
