Intestinal ischemia/reperfusion (Ⅱ/R) is associated with high morbidity and mortality, and recent increasing data have shown that hydrogen gas (H2) can neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress and inflammation.This study was performed to investigate the effects of hydrogen gas inhalation on cerebral oxidative stress and inflammation after intestinal ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) in rats and to understand the mechanism of neuroprotection.
