Proper amino acids availability to muscle is a key factor to maintain appropriate muscle protein synthesis. How its changed along with the ageing process remains inconclusive. In this study, steady state serum amino acids levels were first measured and compared in two groups of mice, aged 8 weeks(young)and 1 year old(middle aged),respectively.Compared to young mice, middle aged mice showed significantly lower total amino acid(TAA)levels in serum.
