Background and Aims A recent genome-wide small interfering RNA (siRNA) screen in our laboratory identified a network of host factors mediating antiviral effects against HCV, which included the Elongation factor Tu GTP binding domain containing 2 (EFTUD2) protein.Recent studies have reported EFTUD2 s role in regulating the innate immune response. Therefore, we sought to determine how EFTUD2 mediates its anti-HCV activity.
