Background:The demand for minimally invasive surgical procedures for facial rejuvenation is rapidly growing.A lifting technique which consists the use of multi-anchored sutures with cones offers an opportunity for patients to achieve satisfactory results with less risk of complications and downtime. Objective:To describe the use of multi-anchored sutures with cones and with it its suspension techniques as a way of preventing and treating the tissue sagginess and reinforcing the soft tissue of the face.Materials and Methods: Mid-face lift procedures using 3-0 polypropylene sutures with 10 absorbable cones (silhouette lift thread) were performed on 20 women patients, whose ages varied from the mid-30s to late-50s.Pre and post-operative pictures were taken and the outcome of the procedure was assessed through patient interviews and the surgeons observation. Results:The procedure resulted in showing significant improvement of laxity in the naslolabial and orolabial fold, and demonstrated repositioning of the soft tissue of the face, particularly on the malar area. Conclusion:The use of multi-anchored suture with cones (i.e.silhouette lift) can safely and effectively prevent facial aging and restore facial structure integrity.Although the multi-anchored suture suspension procedure is not a new idea in terms of lifting with special threads, it proved to be more ideal in obtaining satisfactory results.Furthermore, another key advantage of the procedure is that the sutures can be easily suspended again after a certain period of time when the skin loses elasticity.
