Ralstonia solanacearum was ranked in a recent surveythe second most important bacterial plant pathogen. The main reason is that bacterial wilt caused by R.solanacearum is the worldsmost devastating bacterial plant disease, threatening food safety in tropical and subtropical agriculture, especially in China, Bangladesh, Boliviaand Uganda [1].R.solanacearum, a β-proteo bacterium,is pathogenic on more than 200 plant species belonging to over 50 different botanical families.
