It is well known that plant hormone salicylic acid (SA) plays an essential in plant defense against pathogen infection [1, 2].Through genetic screens for Arabidopsis mutants which are defective in the expression ofPR (Pathogenesis-Related) genes after SA or its active analogue INA treatment,a locus called NPR1 (NONEXPRESSER OF PR GENES 1) was identified [3, 4].
