Coronary artery diseases are the leading cause of death,of which abnormal cholesterol level is one of the major risk factors.Several large-scale GWASs(genome-wide association studies)revealed that phosphatase and actin regulator 1(PHACTR1)is highly correlated with coronary artery diseases. However, physiological functions of PHACTR1 in vivo have not been reported.
