To understand the molecular mechanism of rice resistance to blast disease, a comparative proteomic study was conducted in the compatible and incompatible interactions between rice and Magnaporthe oryzae.Wild-type rice (cv.Nipponbare) and homozygous transgenic rice (Nipponbare-Pizt) carrying a resistance gene Piz-t were inoculated with a Piz-t compatible M.oryzae isolate RB22 and a Piz-t incompatible isolate KJ201, respectively.
