This work reports the preparation and characterization of HfxZr1-xO2(x = 100,80,60,50,40,20 and 0%wt)nanoparticles by a simple wet chemical solgel method that involves the formation of an organic polymeric network.A precursor gel was made using hafnium chloride,zirconium acetate hydroxide,citric acid ethylene glycol as starting materials.Different precursor gels were prepared varying the Hf and Zr content.In order to obtain the nanoparticles,the precursors were calcined at 500,700 and 900 ℃ for 2 h.
