The global dynamical behaviors of a simply supported composite laminated plate, which is forced by both in-plane and transverse excitations, are investigated in this paper.On the basis of the original partial differential equations, the four-degree-of-freedom ordinary differential equations (ODEs) are obtained via the Garlerkins truncation.Using the norm-form theory, the ODEs are simplified in order to analyze the complex global dynamics.
