Object:Curcumin is widely known for its medicinal properties including its anticancer activity,but its water-insolubility and instability make its bioavailability exceedingly low and thus it was generally inactive in vivo anticancer tests.Here,we report a bioreducible nanosize anticancer drug-polycurcumin to overcome above limitations.Methods:Polycurcumin was synthesized with curcumin and 3,3-dithiodipropionic acid,the stability of curcumin at physiological pH was monitored by ultraviolet spectrophotometer,the cytotoxicity was studied using MTT,the cellular uptake was observed by confocal microscope,retardation of cell cycle and induction of cell apoptosis by polycurcumin were analyzed by flow cytometry
