During the past 40 years the "foot in the door" and "trapped in" are two typical inhibition modes (fast and slow inhibition) whose mechanisms remain structurally vague.Based on high resolution crystal structure of MthK potassium channel, we isolated the two mode of inhibitions by single channel kinetic analysis.
