A novel actinomycete strain, designated strain CB 13-15T, was isolated from a soil sample collected from Xinjiang, China, and was determined using a polyphasie taxonomic approach. The colonies of the strain grow well on TSA and R2A agar.Growth occurs at pH 6.0-9.0 and 20-42 ℃ with 0-10% (w/v) NaCl, and the optimum growth occurs at pH 7.5-8.0 and 37 ℃ with 5% (w/v) NaCl.Strain CB13-15T formed white to pale yellow branched substrate mycelia without fragmentation and sparse aerial mycelia with wavelike curves with non-fragment and 0.4-0.8 μm in diameter. No diffusible pigments are produced on any of media tested.
