紫砂器兴起于宜兴不是偶然,它是中国茶文化大环境陶冶下的成果,同时也是中国茶文化发展变革的必然产物。宜兴是中国古代名茶产地之一,所产“国山荈茶”始于三国孙吴时期,著称于江南。唐代上元年,阳羡茶更为“芬芳冠入他境”名列贡茶。诗人卢仝有诗为赞:“天子未尝阳羡茶,百草不敢先开花。”(《全唐诗》)饮茶须好水,宜兴金沙泉在唐代就是与贡茶同时上贡的煎茶良泉。到了北宋末年的时侯,茶文化的焦点已经从品的方式转变到茶具的行式上来。正是这种“绝无仅有”的茶环境和“得天独厚”的紫砂资源,造就出紫砂技艺,随着明代茶饮之风的变革,掀开了中国茶文化新的篇章,赋予茶饮艺术新的文化情趣。
