《艺术正义及相关问题》一书中提出这样的命题:“一般来说,艺术正义只出现于故事性艺术作品。”原因在于艺术正义需要由善福恶殃的情节尤其是善福恶殃的结局彰显出来的,而善福恶殃的最终呈现是少不了必要的情节铺垫的。其中,艺术正义通过善恶有报的故事情节和故事的再造与结局的改编的方式,因为对对正义的迫切需要和爱与正义关系的原因,在故事性的艺术作品中呈现出来。
