耐火材料制造工艺过程中,制品的成型占很重要的地位.成型的质量对成品质量起着极重要的作用,而且也予先决定着生产厂计划的完成.近两三年来,我国耐火材料厂才逐渐由手工成型使用机械成型,但大部份是用老式摩擦压砖机.机械成型耐火制品根据泥料的不同可分两大类:1)塑压成型法(又名湿压法、可塑成型法),泥料水份为15～25%;2)干压成型法(又名半干式成型法),泥料水份在10%以下.由于成型方法的不同,所用的机械也不同.1956年,我厂机械成型此例平均达65%左右.采用半干式成型法,机械是用旧的摩擦式压砖机修复
