The smallest mountain in the world is Mount Wycheproof at 141 feet. However， this mountain stands 486 feet above the sea level. It is in the small town of Wycheproof with a population of 789. There is always a discussion about whether Mount Wycheproof is a mountain or a hill. The mountain has several tracks and some local wild animals such as kangaroos appear there.
Although Mount Wycheproof is the smallest， it isnt so famous as Qomolangma. Interestingly， more people have reached the top of Qomolangma than Mount Wycheproof， though it is easy and safe to climb Wycheproof.
Mount Wycheproof was named after the town of Wycheproof. People began to live there as early as 1845. The name Wycheproof means the grass on a hill. It is an important place for the local people. They have running competitions to the hill top every year.
