According to www.digitaltrends.com, researchers at Northeastern University developed the next generation of smart sensors for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to recognize Infrared (IR) wavelengths. It does not need to be equipped with a power supply, it is designed to detect the specific wavelength of infrared power supply. As part of the DARPA near-zero-power radio frequency and sensor program, the sensor can solve many problems, such as detecting the combustion of car or vehicle fuels close to the human body and recognizing the wildfire before it becomes uncontrollable
