There are quite a few words in English, and there is no corresponding word in Chinese that is fixed in any context. Such words need to be translated into different Chinese words in different contexts. This type of word has one of the most fundamental meanings. This most fundamental meaning is the soul of the word. From the perspective of English thinking, its meaning in different contexts is fixed. However, in English-Chinese translations, because the Chinese expression habits are different from English, the Chinese meaning of this fundamental meaning cannot be fixedly applied in the translations of different contexts, and it is necessary to combine different contexts according to the Chinese language habits and give different “” Translation method." From the perspective of translation, if you want to accurately grasp the meaning of a word, it is extremely important to distinguish its fundamental meaning from translation.
