Some studies have shown that the two most important cognitive motivations of metaplasia are metaphor and metonymy. Based on the theory of inheritance of connotation and extension, this paper illustrates the metonymic justification of name-action class. Our research starts with three aspects: (1) the metonymic thinking of the name-moving class; (2) the event relationship of the class-moving class; and (3) the metonymical features of the class-moving class. That is to say, it is to study the metonymic thinking feature of the name-action class and how the metonymic thinking reflects its motivation in the process of name-action class transformation and finally how to transform it into the external representation of language. On this basis, the paper pro-metonymy is the most basic motivation for the formation of name-movement class.
