It is pointed out through analysis that the ranges of the values of the thermal coefficients given in the current HVAC codes are incorrect; the average values of the wind-loaded coefficients implicit in the wind pressure difference coefficients will cause large errors. Two ways to improve the coefficient of thermal compression are proposed. It is suggested that the problem of wind pressure calculation should be studied according to the inhomogeneity of wind pressure distribution on the building surface
