顾彬的《二十世纪中国文学史》一度引发我国学者争议,原因之一是它有很多观点与我们既有的文学史叙事相左。这些相左的观点,不仅是因为立场、视野、语境、学术理等差异而造成的另一种读法,很可能还是中国现当代文学研究的盲区和不足。顾彬的著作确实有不少问题甚至硬伤,但人们从宏观角度甚至带着反感情绪评价时,是否考虑能披沙拣金、去芜存菁,从而引发我们对既有研究的反思?比如除鲁、郭、茅这样的一流作家外,象郁达夫这样被既有文学史叙事视为“二流”
One of the reasons why Gu Bin’s History of Chinese Literature in the Twentieth Century once caused controversy among scholars in our country is that it has many different views from the one we already have in the narrative of literary history. These conflicting views are not only the result of differences in position, vision, context, academic philosophy, but also other readings that are likely to be the blind spots and shortcomings in the study of Chinese modern and contemporary literature. Gu Bin’s work does have many problems or even mishap. However, people consider whether we can get rid of gold from the macroscopic point of view even with a sense of disgust, which leads us to reflect on the existing research. For example, Such first-class writers as Lu, Guo and Mao are regarded as “second-rate” by the existing narrative of literary history like Yu Dafu
