For a long time, the critical and historical research on Chinese painting has always been a lack of a reliable way to identify the style of the work. In response, Mr. Li Lincan from Taiwan’s National Central Museum published three series of articles. In his article “The Law of Differentiation of Chinese Painting,” Mr. Li described the study of materials, technique, fashion, personal style, themes, inscriptions and cataloging as the “six methods” for identifying works. In his article “Chronological Identification of Ink Bamboo,” he quoted 88 ink bamboo from the masters of the 10th to 18th centuries and attempted to illustrate the evolution of these ink bamboo and bamboo leaves.
